I am worried about this snowstorm

Hi
So, we are right where the snowstorm is suppose to land tonight.  We are kinda on the outskirts of the snow so its estimated that we will get roughly 4-6 inches.  Winds are suppose to be high and that is what I am worried about.
We have a generator but my hubby went out and fooled with it yesterday and now its leaking oil and spraying smoke everywhere.  So, I went online and bought a new one but it wont be here until after the storm.
I am hoping the electric doesnt go out because our 1 asd son will be fine, our nt daughter will be fine but our 2nd asd son will totally freak.  He will be fine if its during the day but at night - no way!!  
My dad has a generator and he lives on the same acreage we live on (a big farm).  If the electric goes out I guess he will have a little boy for company. :)
