We are moving to Michigan in June and my son who is 4 was diagnosed with ASD  High functining in February of this year.  I have heard that both Jenison and Foerst Hills are great schools.  Does anybody have kids on the spetrum that attend either of these schools programs for ASD??

Your best resource is to contact the state chapters of Autism Speaks (http://www.autismspeaks.org/) and Autism Society (http://www.autism-society.org/) to find the local chapters to ask for advice on these school districts. There is some good advice at http://www.aspergersyndrome.org/, too. The last I heard is that your son will be able to attend public school until age 26 under Special Education services (http://www.wrightslaw.com/). When you arrive, you should get into contact in writing with the local school district to set him up for services You need to request in writing that both his regular school file and his Special Education file gets transfered. For activities, I recommend Special Olympics (http://www.specialolympics.org/), TheARC (http://www.thearc.org/), and TOPSoccer (http://www.topsoccer.us/).
