I have been having problems with my asd 15 year old becoming more and more violent the last couple months. We are now going to take her to a behaviorial institute tomorrow morning for a 7-14 day stay to try to get her stabilized.I am broken hearted.I love this girl so much and just want to help her and hate having to do this but feel as if we have tried everything and there are no options left.

Thank you and I really hope they do too.The next step after this if this does not help is a long term residential treatment center and I really do not want to go that route,

You've tried your best. She will get the right help there besides, it's only temporary.

Hugs momma. I know this must be hard but what you are doing is for the best for her.

Hugs momma! I have been there. But, I have to ask, where are you taking her? My son still has nightmares about the hospital we originally put him in. Please, I beg of you, check out the institution and see what others have said. I wish I did. Hindsight is 20/20.
