Does your 6 year old have an IPad? Photo Touch Telling Time is a good app.

Thanks for this suggestion! I am going to try it with my 4yo. I hadn't tried to teach her to tell time yet, so we'll see if this works for us.

My boy is 9 and still has trouble with time. It is a very abstract concept to him, he is so smart about so many things but the clock alludes him. I got a clock at Target for about $6 that has the second hand minutes on it as well. So like on the 1 it say 5 too and on the 2 it says 10, 3 it says 15 etc. so it kind of helps them see what the second hand "means."

on my son's iPad, we use the Telling Time App. His basic math apps (2nd Grade Math) also works on telling time, so he gets double the time learning a day.

We had a chart that showed our routine and the time for each. He pretty much got the hang of it but still hasn't perfected it yet.

Ashton is 8 and struggles with it. I know they are working on it at school.
