The Unmedicated Child...

I wrote a post a while back about weaning my son off of medication.

Here is an update!

Things are going very well. We have been completely med free for almost a week. There have been no ill side effects and he is doing great.

Challenges? Well, he is hyper beyond belief and it is harder to keep him focused but so far it has been manageable!

YAY for my boy!

I think it's great to go with no meds I had my 31 yr old on meds for most of his life and they only work for a short time and between changing doctors and adjusting medication or additional medication being added he had gotten some side effects that weren't easy to deal with so he didn't want to take his medicine anymore i thought it would be the worst thing for him but like your son he's more hyper for sure but I think it wasn't as scarry as i thought it would be. Good luck with your son
