UGHHHHHHH INSURANCE

Just need to let out a good scream right now. So tired of talking to freaking insurance people!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a good note for those wondering ...... I started a bunch of different supplements that are supposed to help with anxiety and depression. I didn't cry once yesterday so hopefully they are starting to help. I called my dr to try and see her to at least check my thyroid to see if it's also helping me spiral down (I'm sure it is) and they can't freaking see me until next week. So I must have the crappiest doctor because if I had the flu they'd still tell me they were booked. I set up an appointment with a new doctor but another great thing ...... they won't see a new patient until AUGUST.

Yep .... life's just life right now I guess.

So wrong... Really... Thats ridiculous. August?! Wow...

Glad what youre using has shown a bit of improvement,, a day without crying is a day without crying!!! YEAH!!!

I honestly cant stand Drs anymore. Im on a waiting list for Sam for this autism hospital near us.. I called in January.. Their reply was "we will call you in the spring, to let you know when we can get him in. FYI its about an 8 month wait." So in sping Im guessing we will get a call for August.. Or maybe its 8 months from when they call, which will be a year. Insane. All we want is medical care... How important can that be? (Dripping with sarcasm!)

I hate drs too. I bought a book this weekend on thyroid issues and how it affects your entire life. And I'm just going to start using supplements that are supposed to help improve my overall well-being. I give my daughter supplements so if I think it might help her, why wouldn't it help me too, right?

Only problem is I do still need the synthetic thyroid hormone and I think my dosage is too low, I'm awake and feel ok for 4 hours, then my body's screaming for a nap and if I can't have one (which is always) I start getting horribly cranky and moody and just want to scream and throw a tantrum.

Wow, when did doctors stop being professionals? They should have let all her patients know she was leaving BEFORE she left. I'm so sorry. My doctor's office has been so crappy that I've only gone for my routine visits. I never get an appointment soon enough for actual illnesses, so I go to a minor care center whenever I'm sick. I had freakin bronchitis in Dec and they couldn't fit me in.

I can sympathize on your thyroid problems since I am on medication for my thyroid since around 1996. I hate waiting for doctors, and it can be fun at times especially with wanting to see a specialist.

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. Just be careful when mixing even supplements. St. John's Wort should not be mixed with certain types of meds. My doctor says I can not take it cause of the Zoloft I am on

Oh, I am not taking St John's Wort ..... I know it will interact with my birth control. And I'm having to separate the times I take the supplements due to having to take thyroid medication. I'm taking GABA and Taurine for Anxiety (and my brother takes this for his OCD and knows it works, at least for him) and SAM-e for depression. And you can't take SAM-e while on antidepressants because it will increase your seratonin too much.  And the SAM-e says do not take if you could possibly be bi-polar because it will cause a manic episode. Well, I've suffered a couple of bouts of depression but have never had a manic episode so I know I'm ok but I still told my husband about it to watch my reaction. And all the family is taking fish oil now, I've just read too many good things about it to not add it to our diet.

Sounds like you know your combination of supplements. I know their are people who don't realize you can't take St John' Wort with other meds. I have never hear of the meds you are taking. I will have to look them up. I take meds for depression but not anxiety even though i really need it. I just refuse anything that is strong like ativan so there really isn't much that they will prescribe that I haven't already tried. Going to talk to the doc next month about finding something though
