Do you participate in events or organizations that bring awareness of autism to the general public?  What do you do?

I don't, but would love to.  I have a tad bit of social anxiety and would be more likely if I had someone to do these things with me.  I don't know a lot of people in North Carolina and don't know any parents with autistic kiddos.  Maybe once Jericho starts his special ed preschool I will meet someone who will motivate me....hmmm, what better place to meet other parents with autistic kids than at these sorts of events.  Okay, I think typing this reply just motivated me to get more involved...rofl, thanks!!

No. Not really.

Once I went to an autism fair they had in my town. But I only knew about it because I was driving past it and saw it.

I did the walk in 2013, I didn't know about it in time this year. I'm on a committe for the County I work for. The past two years have promoted Autism Awareness in April. Surprisingly once I started talking about the fact my son has asd, more people have been more vocal and talking about how they have relatives or friends with kids who have asd.

Yes, my son's private autism school is really involved in the community and I'm a big part of that school.
