Amazing day!

Today was amazing, it was worth driving in 3 hours (normally takes an hour and a half) in a snowstorm on bad roads and not getting much sleep last night.

Today, courtesy of our CES waiver, I was able to attend an Autism Conference for the first time. What made it even better though, was...
1. Temple Grandin was there
2. It was my birthday! :)

Here are some pictures from the conference! She even signed my books that the CES got me! This conference totally blew my expectations away!

Yes it was, it was very short and sweet, she doesn't stay in conversation for very long, but it was amazing.

I have heard Temple Grandin speak twice. Both times I was in awe with how she explains things. She was autographing books but we did not get a picture with her. That is so cool!!! What a great birthday!!!

I am jealous too - I would love to hear Temple speak.  Actually, I would like my 13 yr old daughter to hear her speak.  Last spring I gave my old daughter the Temple Grandin movie and some of her books.  I was trying to give her some positive role models and she loved them.  It did help her to see someone who had autism and was successful.
