Interesting.

Ya'know that Genesight test they gave Sam? Part of the test talked about reduced folic acid and a heterozygous c677T polymorphism in one of his genes.

Genes can be heterozygous. You get 2 genes from your parents... Heterozygous means mom & dad passed down different genes, so Sam has 1 c677t that is effected and 1 not, BUT had he been homozygous, both moms and dads genes would have been effected.

In reading about c677t people with heterozygous polymorphisms of that gene have a higher risk of stroke, fibromyalgia and Autism. (And a few others). I thought that was wicked cool... But it made made me wonder who passed down the "affected" gene... And would anyone be able to tell if the effected gene was recessive, right? But wait, wouldnt we both have to have it recessive to pass it as dominant? Ugh... So not a biology fan!!! Give me chemistry!! Lol

This Stuff is so interesting!!!
