Merlin started throwing up Wednesday night after what was a completely normal day. I bought him a kennel, a huge plastic one, from a woman whose GSD had died. Merlin threw up twice, but had no diarrhea. I thought maybe he had eaten something bad. He went off to be by himself. He felt so bad.
We wake up Thurs morning, and he seems to be better. His appetite isn't back, but he was drinking water and his tail was wagging when we spoke to him, although it was down the rest of the time. He started throwing up again, but still no diarrhea. He was week and stumbling around. He felt really hot underneath his belly. I took him to the vet.
They kept him overnight last night to give him fluids. The vet said last night he doesn't think it's an infection. He didn't have fever. I called this morning to check on him and he's still throwing up and now he has diarrhea. I didn't ask if he had eaten. I miss the little guy so much. My daughter cried herself to sleep last night because she is so worried about him. He's just 9 weeks old. I don't know what he could have gotten into. There's nothing dangerous in the house for him to eat, and I watch him when he goes outside.
When he threw up in the house yesterday, he'd look up at me like "I'm sorry". I'd just pat his head and clean it up. I'm trying to be positive, but I have to prepare myself for the worst. I hope it's something the vet can fix. If Merlin's been poisoned, it's my fault. I'm his mamma. I'm supposed to take good care of him.
Sorry if this is rambling. I'm upset and I just want him home.
