Do you take your pets?

If you have pets (dogs mostly!), do you enjoy bringing them on road trips, or do you prefer leaving them at home/kennelled?

We never brought ours with us.  We always left them at home or with family.

My dog pukes in the car so we don't take her too often.

Ours comes with us wherever we go.

Any time we are gone for a long time (more than a day), the dogs get left with family. Poofy is too yappy (Chihuahua) and Tiny is wayyyy  too big to ride in the car (Full blood Blood Hound).

If i had a dog or any pet I would still leave them at home or with a friend or in a kennel. Kids are enough to handle on a roadtrip

I wish we could. We have cats, and I miss them, but they are happier staying at home and being fed by a catsitter.

We have cats, and we leave them at home.  It's weird but growing up, my mom always made sure that we took out cat with us wherever we went.

when we went on a road trip last september...we left our two cats at home because my MIL would have had a fit if we brought them along!  not to mention that it would have been so hard finding a hotel that would let pets come in.... :-/
