My 12-year old son is also finishing up basketball; his team is 15-1. He's ready for baseball in a few weeks, and happily for him, his team has been in the thick of things at the end. I told him, though, that he won't play football with full equipment until he can drive himself there. Just can't see signing up for that before high school, or even college.

Hi.  I have 2 soccer loving kids.  My daughter is 8 and is starting spring soccer.  My son is 7 and is playing baseball, but wishing we'd sign him up for soccer.  They've been playing soccer and baseball since they were 4 and 5 and our social lives sort of revolve around their sports schedules.  That's o.k. with us though.  It's tons of fun to be out their supporting our kids with other parents who have the same interests.

I will definitely be coming here looking for advice on the pros and cons of travel leagues, sports injuries, coaching, etc.
