Sunscreen question

well i know they say not until 6 months, and honestly i never put sunscreen on my son until really late, after he was 1. but then he was born in march, so when summer came he young, so we only sat outside for a little while, and since he wasn't crawling yet we stayed in the shade, so i didn't have to worry about it. i have heard they have sunscreen for babies under the age of 6 months, but i don't know where you can get it. GL! sorry i can't be more help

I think that I put sunscreen on DS a little earlier than the recommended 6 months of age simply becase we are in south TX and it is exceptionally hot in the summer time ... I made sure to get the baby stuff and I think my original sunscreen was even for babies with sensitive skin ... we didn't have any problems. I just made sure that when we were inside for an extended period of time, I wiped his skin with a baby wipe or moist wash cloth to get any residue off.

When my son was 4 months, we also went to the beach (he is now 7 months).  I asked his ped about it.  She said it is much better for baby to have the sunscreen than to have a sunburn, and be sure to use a hat that also covers the back of the neck.  Have fun at the beach!

I put sun screen on my oldest when he was 4 months, and I live in Ohio, lol. My mom lives right beside Lake Erie and took him to the beach with her a couple of times, so we used sunscreen then. Can't remember the name of it right off the top of my head, but it's in a pink bottle, and is a rather popular brand. It's actually sittin in my bathroom right now =P So long as you keep him in the shade and make sure he stays hydrated (not sure how warm it is in your area), he should be fine with a little added sunscreen and a hat =) Have fun at the beach!!

I USED IT AT 4-5 MOS OLD. NO TEARS MADE IT GREAT
