My son is a finger chewer at just about 16 months now and he always has been. My problem with it is I recently noticed he is chewing his nails off basically. They are seperating from where the nail meets his finger, it doesn't seem to be hurting him but I'm worried about it. I looked into buying finger guards but what I found was almost $80! If anyone has any ideas please please help me out!!

Thank you! Mittens I know will not work because he'll just pull them off, but I will give the lemon a try! Thank you very much!

Be careful using lemon a lot. It eats the enamel off their teeth. I would use something like this:

Amazon.com: Develop 10 Bite Ender Stops Nail Biting Promotes Nail Growth 17ml/0.63oz: Beauty

there are several versions on the market, not sure about that one but  I'd look for an all natural one since your LO is so young :) good luck!
