by Samantha on Aug. 29, 2008 at 8:55 AMBoys are awesome. I love their clothes, you can get smart little pants sets and overalls are SO cute. They have cooler toys too. You get to collect matchbox cars and Tonka trucks now! I was really nervous too because I have no experience with little boys, but really they are great. You'll fall right into it. |

by 3rdtymsthecharm on Aug. 29, 2008 at 10:10 AMwell lets start at the beggining. what are your feelings on circumcision. make sure you fully research it. make sure the pewee is covered durring diaper changes. point it down before you secure diaper. you have a full two years or so before gender actually starts playing a role so relax. though i was the same when i found out i was having a boy. i had two girls so i was like oh no i don't know what do do. plus i'm a single mom so that adds to it as well Christina, College going, diaper making, single mom to

by Daisymae6 on Aug. 29, 2008 at 11:23 AMboys are sweet and rambunctious. my boys both LOVE their mommy and are less moody than their older sister. my 5 year old is eager to please and really tries hard to do the best thing. All you need to do is accept them and love them just the way they are, much the same as you would a girl. expect them to knock a few things over, jump off the furniture at times but they'll always be willing to snuggle up to you after a hard day of playing. :) |

by sallymoon on Aug. 29, 2008 at 9:02 PMBoys are wonderful! Patrick is my second son, but only living child. I used to always think I wanted a girl, but now I couldn't imagine not having a boy! My little Patrick is the light of my life. I rarely buy anything for me anymore... I spend all of my "allowance" on stuff for my little guy! There is so much fun, cute stuff for little boys! |

by cherylmoore on Aug. 30, 2008 at 1:08 AMi always wanted a girl and when i found out we were having a boy i really had mixed feelings about it... especially knowing that this will be our only child... i have soem medical issues and it was really hard to get pregnant, so we decided that if the lord blessed us once we would be satisfied and not ask for more... nathan is now 10 weeks old and i can honestly tell you that im so happy and now could not imagine being without him... im so glad i got a boy... yes, there are more pretty clothes for girls and it seems everywhere you go theres something in pink you just fall in love with, pink is my favorite color by the way... but, he looks just like his daddy and when i see them laying on the couch together, i just melt... i thank God that i will not have to deal with a girls hair that wont stay up or brushing it and listening to her scream, or having to teach her to wear a bra or about her period... i will never have to worry about her coming home and asking me to get her the pill... with boys, the hardest part is getting them to take a bath, and lets face it, boys will be boys, if they stink they stink, lol... plus, i believe its the same-sex parents job to teach potty training, so yea for me on that one... i have more pros from my boy-list from when i was pregnant but i cant locate it right now... but seriously, sit down and think about it and make a list... im sure you will come up with all kinds of wonderful things about boys and negatives about girls and will make you feel a whole lot better about things...
and trust me, when you hold that baby in your arms, you will know you got exactly the right baby you were supposed to have and you wotn have any more doubts... if you ever want to talk, just msg me

by snow23 on Aug. 31, 2008 at 9:56 PMcongrats on your baby boy. Mine is 6 months now. He is so much fun. What do you want to know? Boys aren't so different than girls. You purchase blues instead of pinks. Most baby toys are the same in the beginning. Cleaning the genitle area is different though, with boys you need to pull the skin back on their penius to make sure you get it all clean and it doesn't get infected. As they get older is when things change. Boys will generally be rougher than girls and probably slightly bigger. The rest is normal stuff. I don't know a lot but I have been around boys for a while so if you have any questions you can contact me and I will do my best to answer. You will have so much fun with your baby. When I found out I was pregnante I was hoping for a girl but I am so glad to have my boy. You will do fine |

by mom2ljh on Aug. 31, 2008 at 11:08 PMLMAO! You do the same thing you would with a girl, feed him, burp him, hold him, love him, change him. Just, when you change him, put a cloth diaper or washcloth or something over his penis so you don't get a shower. LOL Boys are fun. It'll come natural. Don't overthink it.
