Light corn syrup

Food coloring (liquid works best)

Paper plates for mixing

Newsprint or other paper for painting

Pour 1 tablespoon corn syrup onto paper plate.

Squirt food coloring into the puddle.

Mix and paint with fingers.

-----------------

Sweetened Condensed Milk Finger Paint

Sweetened condensed milk

Food coloring or brightly colored fruit juice

Pour a small amount of sweetened condensed milk into several small bowls. Mix in a few drops of food coloring in each bowl to create a variety of colors. Help your toddler use the colored sweetened condensed milk to pain on newspaper, butcher paper, or craft paper.

------------------

½ cup of cornstarch

¼ cup of sugar

2 cups cold water

Food coloring

Mix the cornstarch and sugar together. Slowly stir in the water and mix well. Put the mixture in a pot on the stove over medium heat and heat for about 5 minutes or until the mixture develops a gel-like texture. Separate the mixture into several smaller containers and add a few drops of food coloring to each container.

I have used all of these. They work great. I miss having a little one around to do this stuff with. I am a bit too old to be sticking painted fingers in my mouth. =D

Finger Paint

3 T sugar

2 Cups cold water

food coloring

1/2 C cornstarch

Mix sugar and cornstarch together in a sauce pan. Add water. cook over low heat stirring constantly, until well blended. divide the mixture into 4 or 5 portions and add different food coloring to each. for easier clean up add a drop or two of liquid dish soap.
