buttons!

as I posted earlier - I went garage -sale-ing with my good friend.  I bought 3 plastic bags of random buttons!  I love to use buttons with scrapbooking and I know there was a post before about buttons and the various things people have created.  Has anyone made any wall art with their buttons?  like painted a canvas and sewed the buttons on it, etc?

I saw once where someone made wall art in the form of trees and hearts and stuff using buttons, just sewing them onto muslin and then framing them.

that is awesome.  I wonder if i could do something like that for my dog themed bathroom... cute.  I don't have enough buttons to make something this large right now but definitely could do something like this with a little button investment.  lol.
