I've decided to make my dad a quilt for father's day.  I want to put my dd's(if she'll cooperate), my neice and my nephew's hand prints on it.  I'm not sure how to do that.  do I just put their hands in some fabric paint?  I want it to be washable.  any ideas? tia

A couple of ideas-you could use fabric paint (or if you only have acrylics-klook for fabric medium to add to regular acrylics)

Another is if you have a printer and pick up those photo transfer kits you could have the kids put handprints on paper -scan that-then print out the pics onto the muslin-Just check the kits to see if the prints are washable.

fabric paint is what i would use. or trace them on fabric and make appliques.
