 she lost my elastic i cut it to fit and cannot afford anymorei'm gonna finish her dress soon i'm gonna cut elastic off a bra that dont fit my post pregnancy body maries my only child and she'll be 2 in a week and a half, so this bra's real old anybody else ever recycle clothes like that?

lots of people reuse old clothes :) It's a great way to upcycle and such :D

Well, the good news is that the elastic will turn up eventually and you will be able to use it in a future project.  I was once missing a zipper for months, and finally got a new one to finish dd's dress, then when I found the zipper, I used it to make a purse.

My daughter made this little birthday dress from a tank top and some cotton print fabric.  

This is the sister's matching dress using a brown tank top.

She makes these dresses all the time and uses up her old tank tops.

Cute ideas.  I make Halloween costumes out of used clothes sometimes.  One year for Christmas my sister was making everything handmade, and since she had no money, she shopped in her closet for stuff to use.  She made a huge smiley pillow for my daughter with earmuffs made out of some fake fur from a coat.  She's very clever and frugal.
