Need ideas: Pine cone crafts

We have a tree outside that is just pouring pine cones down so the boys and I went out and got a bucket full. Any ideas for what we can do with them? ANY ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Roll them in peanut butter and then roll them in bird seeds, tie a ribbon on top and then hang outside for the birds.

Wreaths, garlands, hang them from fishing wire over your table for a pinecone chandelier!

I saw on pinterest that someone took some, spray painted them Christmas colors then rolled them in some glitter. They then took a tall decorating bear and put them in there to make a centerpiece.

LOL Okay, these are too stinkin cute.

I was going to suggest snowmen - paint them white and decorate like snowmen.
