Happy Valentine's Day! I hope your day is as romantic and loving as you want it to be! ♥
How are you celebrating? Are you a traditionalist, with chocolate on V-day? If so, what's your favorite kind of chocolate?
hubby got me roses for the first time in years
I was woken up with roses and chocolates in bed. My favorite is hazelnut <3 <3
I received a sick daughter does that count? and DH isn't home :(
Normally hubby cooks (been tradition since first Valentine's-going on 13 years) dinner for me-but with his work schedule-I told him just to wait til Friday when he's off.
Have some traditional cutesy gifts for Miss Z (she doesn't know-lol-she woke up with kinda a bummed look when the most she received was a "Happy Valentine's Day" and a hug...They'll appear on her bed later and surprise her when she gets home)
As for me to hubby-His birthday was just the 2nd...So it's like "whaddaya want for Valentine's day"???-lol-he didn't really have an answer-so I'm off to at the least find a website I can make n send him a free Valentine while he's at work (I think jibjab charges membbership now-I'll have to google a couple sites)
Other than that-My gift arrived yesterday-if anything he may bring home a handful of flowers (he knows carnations are fine-sctually preferred cuz they're cheaper n last longer)-but I'm not gonna worry if he doesn't-Our one cat eats flowers and therefore I can't just plunk down a vase on the dining room table-so...
So that's Valentine's 2012 here...
Aw, I hope she feels better really soon!

Aw, I hope Trace and I have cute stories to share after 13 years! :) We don't have any real traditions yet - life just seems so busy and his job has him working 6 days a week, so we are rarely even home together. We should make more time for traditions!

Oh-I'll make the "traditional" story cuter-lol
His first meal was made with a jar of "Chicken tonight" (I don't even think they make that any more-lol) chicken and Lipton bag rice-But for someone else to "cook" for me it was awesome-LOL (He was 20-not so big on the cooking skills-lol)
Now he actually goes out of his way to find recipes to prepare and kicks me out of the kitchen (I do like to cook and tend to take over....)
It's not how big a tradition is,just little stuff ya remember each year-Just find something you guys like and remember to do it each year-as long as it stays fun and doesn't become drudgery-traditions can be fun ;)
