babyboard, or as some of you know it as a "papoose board"...My Auntie Carol taught me how to make a tradition babyboard for my daughters 1st baby.......
Here I'm cutting the material to wrap/sew onto the board you see on table.....
Here, I'm cutting the foam that will make up the mattress for the baby to lay on....
Here, I'm cutting the buckskin strips for the trim....
Here, Auntie Carol is sewing the pieces together for me.....
Here it is, almost done..Auntie Carol & Uncle Chuck beaded the bow part,as I can't bead like that ....Yet.....
Heres the finished board, complete with my newest grandson asleep in it!!
Heres 2 boards my Auntie made for her grandbabies.....when I get as good as her, I'm going to use Pendlton blanket as well!!! Thanks for letting me share with you ladies!!!

That is so cool! I'm almost half Cherokee, and I remember seeing people carrying their babies around with those. :) I grew up around there. Love it!
