compost bins

Anyone have crafty ideas for compost bins?
I like the idea of a rotating bin... but don't know how to go about it.

We are also looking at one that tumbles, but we are too scared to use an old drum that isn't food safe, and we don't know where to get one of them from. I was thinking of just using a wine barrel, but I don't know if the wood would tamper with the compost on the inside. Good luck, I hope you find something.

I know you need to have some kind of fins inside to mix while you tumble it and a door that latches and is big enough to fit your shovel in.

I found some info on how to make one on diy so now just to find all the supplies

I have a huge composting system:). I used old pallets to separate the bins and then just mix and rotate things with a pitchfork. I also have a tumbler right next to the garden that I put the compost in as a last step. Then when it's perfect I mix it in the soil and I have a huge, gorgeous garden!

We use a garbage can with holes in, lol it works very well.

We just dump into our garden.. we have a hole dug and we rotate it. Our hoa wont allow us to do anything more than that
