Things have been very, very busy around here for me lately. I haven't been on CafeMom in forever it feels like, except to pop in for a few seconds here and there. I haven't had any time for crafting it seems, which is sad, because it relaxes me and gets my mind off of stressful things, but oh well.
My son turned 2 on May 28th though, and we had his party on the 26th (I didn't know anyone's plans for the 28th, so I just had it a couple days early). His party was a success and we all had a ton of fun. I just wished that people from DH's dad's side of the family would have/could have made it. DH's dad didn't even come (btw, DH's parents are divorced so it's awkward when the two families get together but STILL I was nice and invited everyone). We later found out that one of DH's cousins that had told us he had to work was actually out on his motorcycle with his wife (his wife had told us she would try to come since DH's cousin had to work), so we're kind of upset with them about lying to us... I mean I do understand working and all, but if you're going to lie about having to work or trying to make it to the party, don't get caught out on your motorcycle riding up and down the road when the party was still happening/had just ended..
However we all still had a great day with Cedric and he had a great birthday party, my sister was in town for the party and stayed the night with us since her car was acting up and she didn't want to risk driving back home after dark with a car that would over heat and have to stop every few minutes. She left the next afternoon and then on Monday we took Cedric swimming and he actually enjoyed himself, and then we went to have dinner at DH's grandma's (on his mom's side). It was a nice day and a great birthday for our kiddo. The other thing we did for Memorial Day was go put some flowers on our daughters grave, which is still hard to do even though it's been 3 years since we lost her... It doesn't make going there any easier.
The next thing on our family agenda is to finish preparing to bring our puppy home on this coming Sunday. We're getting a red and white female Siberian Husky puppy. Her picture is in my signature, and the picture was taken when she was around a week old. I've done a ton of research on the breed and definitely have the time and patience to own one. I've always loved them for their beauty, intelligence, and independence, so this will be very interesting. I can't wait to bond with this little pup and really make her a part of the family. Does anyone else in this group own a Siberian Husky?
But yeah, that's about all we've really been up to. DH works all the time, I stay at home with our son, and have great days teaching him and playing games with him. I also can't believe that the year is almost half over!! It's crazy! Anyway, sorry for the novel I wrote, and if anyone can actually read through all of this, then kudos to you! :D

:) Sounds like a good reason to be gone for a while! Welcome back :) Can't wait to see some of your crafts when you get a chacne to make them!
Thank you!
Oh yes, lol. My month has been busy! Now, with a new pup though I'll be even busier but hopefully once she's potty trained and sleeps through the night then I'll be able to sit down sometimes and do some crafts.
