Recycling & Crafts

So this afternoon I pulled out a trusty white tablecloth to photograph my yarn with. I laid it out and saw yellow stains everywhere. Dang it.

But it made me think of what to do with this now.  I hat ethrowing things out. So I am going to cut the piece into strips and use it to stuff my knitted monsters with. So does anyone else use recycling to craft with? I love doing it. Old clothes become quilts, stained fabric is stuffing, old yarn is stuffing, damaged vases hold knitting needles, etc.

I have a tub full of fleece scraps that seemed like a waste to throw out. I started to make a quilt with most, use them for patches and my boys practice sewing with them.

How cool. I think i would have probably taken the tablecloth and tie dyed it. I am in love with tie dying things. We've done shirts (5 ) so far but can't wait to do something else.
