I've been making crochet hats for the local hospitals/crisis pregnancy centers...but I found this page on FB tonight that makes itty bitty hats for babies that are born way too soon. Is it wrong that I want to help out for this cause?? My mom and even my husband seem to think it's a little weird to do this, but whatever. Why do they think this? Does this even make sense?

Heck no! I think that's great. Not a lot of people do that. And a lot of people don't even think about preemies. I think your doing something great!

I don't think it's weird! My twins were preemie and it was nice that the NICU actually had homemade hats for my girls to use and keep that fit... It really meant a lot to me and I saved them.

Not wrong at all.  Kudos to you for wanting to help.

I was asked to make kards for a support group for Parents of Murdered Children.  A friend of mine is a part of it.  The kards will be used on the anniversary of the death, just a thinking of you type thing.  I was so honored and moved to be a part of this, that I refused to charge her.  It was so humbling.  I am sure there were people that thought I was nuts for being a part of this, but I couldn't care less.

If this is something you want to do, then do it.  :-)

I think it is a great way to pay it forward and that you should never second guess acts of kindness or worry about what people think of you for doing them.

I don't see how helping preemies would be anything but generous and sweet
