I used terracotta pots, painted them with wood stain and baked them in the sun. Drilled holes with a masonry bit (succulents need a lot of drainage). I sealed water dish and stuck bird (99cent store) and rocks on with epoxy resin. glued it all together with contact cement (99cent store), planted succulents, and sprinkled the top soil chicken grit (just because I had it on hand) river rocks that i robbed from my fish. Lol
I kept the top dish free so I can remove it for cleaning
I'm taking a stab, too, at propagating clippings from the succulents (not a fan of that word) for future projects. Hoping it works!
