We finally decided on a theme for Oliver's first birthday party!
*drumroll*
Despicable Me!!
I've got about a trillion ideas for things I'm going to make and do! It will be so fun!
Large cake - minion of course! Dome-shaped cake, yellow, with minion goggles (so the cake's from the eyeline up, like he's peeking), with licorice hair.
Baby cake to destroy - the moon! c;
Main food - stuffed crust pizza ("ooo! Stuffed crust!")
Other food - coconutties, caramel clumpies, minion twinkies
Drinks - Anti-gravity serum (blue punch, and then I'll make little minion balloons to hang by it), plus exploding punch ("Can I drink this?" "Do you want to explode?")
Entertainment - the Times Square Jumbotron!!! (A projector on the side of the house, which we will use to let the kids watch Despicable Me once it's dark and the party's winding down), Super Silly Funland game where they try to knock the little spaceship down with a Nerf gun, and some game with the Box of Shame... Haven't figured out what just yet =)
Favors - minion amigurumi or minion hat or three sleepy kittens book or one big unicorn book (maybe use the Box of Shame to hold them and let people pick?)
Despicable Me soundtrack for music =)
And Ollie can have a baby-sized Gru scarf!
Working on fleshing out other ideas; got about 2 1/2 months to plan it out and get everything made for Little Man's big day!!

Its lots of fun! I keep trying to get a sneak peek for the ride, but the team member preview times never line up with my free time :( I'm going to have to wait until it opens and come as a guest and wait in line. Boo! I have 3 coworkers that transferred there and I wish I could jump the line and not get fired for it lol
