What is your wedding theme (if you have one) and/or the colors of your wedding?

What about floating candles in a vase with the colored rocks.

One of my coworkers is using this beautiful wine cork idea. She is having hers made instead of making them herself... not crafty and parents are footing the wedding bill.

Here is a link to the picture she showed me: http://www.thepinkbook.com/nashville/blogs/2011/8/26/diy-wedding-wine-cork-centerpiece/

My centerpeices were very affordable. I made them all myself.

Each one only had a single flower, which corresponded to the single flower my bridesmaids carried. I think each centerpeice probably cost around $5 for us.

My mom and I did some really cool things for my wedding with the ex.  She dipped a bunch of giant pretzel rods in chocolate and drizzled white chocolate on them then put them in individual cellophane wrappers, then in some cute tumblers we found at the dollar store.  Also did "A hug and kiss from the Mr. and Mrs." (yes we printed these on litte labels) which was a little fish net like baggie with a hug and kiss in each at each place setting.  We got really lucky and knew a woman with a BUNCH of cute little glass bowls and filled them with the little marbles you put in flower arrangements with a candle in them.

My girlfriend did submerged laminated photos of her and the groom. It was like a photo story at each table and then she used flower petals around them. Thrift store it up. If you start now you can get a nice collection of simple glass containers to play with. You could decoupage them with love letters or poetry. I would do that and then get nice branches and spray paint them and hang them with things like lights, butterflies, beads, colored pinecones, candy, feathers, photos or whatever!
