I know that Hello Kitty is very overdone, but it was one of the first hats I wanted to learn how to make, so I'm finally crossing it off my list (my daughter has a beloved pair of Hello Kitty shoes that she adores - it was high time for a matching hat! I meant to make this as a child's size, but I was working with new super soft yarn that stretched a lot - turns out in fits my head instead! Well, a prototype is always a good thing.)
Here's how it turned out:
