It depends on his triggers, sensitivities, and obsessions as well as how severely his autism affects his ability to process stimuli...some ideas would be a weighted blanket (check with parents to see if this is something he needs first), be wary of anything with lights and sounds because these are often a trigger. Some purchased ideas would be cars, building toys (legos, k'nects, blocks), or themed toys. Something to be made might be sensory beanbags (each bag is made with a different material/filling)

Weighted blankets are comforting and said to help children with sensory issues and autism. They're easy to make.
