I had a request to do a Deema hat from Bubble Guppies. I have a general idea on how i want to do this, but I"m not sure about her bubble hair. How would you tackle that? Double crochet curls, actual stuffed globes (would that get too heavy??) or something else?

Lol, I was so hoping they'd ask for the puppy, or even the fish, or...any other bubble guppy character! This one is a bit difficult just from the crazy hair. I'm thinking I may just do double crochet curls, but wow will that be a lot of curls! Hmm, I don't know...

Its alot of curls and i think it may be really heavy i would probably jsut do a hat then find some bubble guppie fabric or something and cut her out and attatch but Im lazy like that lol

What if you crocheted a basic golden yellow hat and stitched lightweight fuzzy pom- poms for the curls? Doing it with yarn would probably be too heavy

I would do a hat in the shape, cone top with cone on the sides, then add a bunch of small pompoms.  That is a really tough one!

1 mom liked this

I would probably make bobbles

I realize this is not a hat but this is the look that came to mind.

No idea....but so cute....everybody compares my oldest DD to Dema because she has really really curly blonde hair.  Good luck and please post a pic when done!!!!

Popcorn stitch in a shape like the hair with a bulky yarn.
