It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a SUPERMAN hat (Pics of both first and second attempts)

ok so today I have been working on a superman hat and I have had a lot of trouble out of it. after a messed up attempt and doing it in the round I decided to try a more flat approach to it. So here is a picture of my first attempt.

the slates were turning out all wrong and even though it does look like the superman logo I was just unhappy with the way it was going so here is my second attempt with doing it in rows

This time the slates turned out perfectly, but I ended up making it shorter because the hat is suppose to fit a child and it was getting way too long. But I am pleased with the way it turned out, Hopefully now the little boy who I made it for will love it.

I thought about doing that but I couldn't figure out how to do it sense it has a diamond shape

It was easy! It didn't come out as good as I hoped it would, it was my first attempt to do it and it was late & I was tired....but clay likes it, so I'm happy. If I were to sell it...I would have tried to stitch it better(the next day)....but he kept bugging me for his hat(he's worse than a little kid sometimes!)I don't like how the yellow came out, & the "S" didn't go corner to corner like the real logo, but eh.
