New skirt and slouch hat

I've been busy, so I haven't been able to do as much crafting lately.  I made a slouch hat for my sister for Christmas, and I'm very happy with how it turned out!  I made dd a new jean skirt tonight (she just keeps growing, lol).  I lined it with pink fleece to add warmth, make it comfy and because even at 23 months she's already obsessed with pink.  The stitching still doesn't look the greatest when you look up close, but in general it looks good.  Any tips on how to get the stitching to look good and be sturdy?  I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm still trying to learn the different stitches on my sewing machine.

Please ignore how I look modeling the hat.  I'm plain to begin with, and it was taken at 10:30 at night so I'm a little run down.

Nice! For the stitching, just make sre your usin the right settings and needle for the fabric and sttch and thread you want to do. Consult the manual.
