Wrapping it around your neck is what I'm referring to. to prevent someone blaming you for something. Most business owners deal with liability before something happens.

I suppose if you're that concerned... just write "not responsible for injury due to misuse of this product"


....I mean I see why you don't want to be responsible for that. But most adults are smart enough not to choke themselves out with a scarf. And most kids don't have enough strength or arm length to strangle themselves with something as soft/stretchy/forgiving as a scarf. It's a little bit of overkill.

I have a disclaimer on my newborn photo props listings - basically that the child should not be left unattended and that my business and myself aren't responsible for harm resulting in use or misuse of my products. I don't bother with scarves, since they are a very common product (and I have never seen a disclaimer on a tag for a commercial scarf). You could also post a disclaimer in your shop policies to protect yourself for all of your items.
