Sewing Question - Interfacing

Ok so I have to admit- interfacing is confusing the heckfire out of me!
I'm making a guitar strap and a bathrobe, both instructions call for fusible interfacing but they don't tell me what kind. Any ideas?

For the guitar strap, I would go with fusible fleece probably. For the bathrobe, probably something a little thinner since I would bet it's to keep the collar somewhat stiff, or it's for the belt. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And make sure it's not cheap generic stuff. I like the kind that is stick- able and washable.

It's for the collar. Do you have any suggestions as to what kind? I'm using 100% cotton chenille, if that makes a difference.

Awesome! Is there just one kind or do you have a favorite?

I use Pellon as well. Although, heat and bond works fine too.
