Tutu Dress in a size 11....

Have any of you ladies made a tutu dress for an older girl before? I was asked to make one for a girl who wears a size 11. Is it possible to make that size on a crochet band or would I need to use elastic band? If so about what size band or elastic should I be looking at? Thanks in advance!

I would use a camisole and attach it to the tutu

I've not made a dress, but I have a tutu. I would do what the others suggested. :)

I would ask for measurements of her chest. You may be able to strech the band enough. BUT for my daughter I would not want just a band I would want a litle tank top or something. You could either buy one and sew the tutu onto it or you could make your own with measurements and a strip of fabric and elastic .
