smelly quilt

my mom got some handmade quilts from her uncle, he was just gonna throw them away. they are at least 50 years old. They are in great condition except they have like a musty smell, they were stored in a really old cedar chest fir years. How can she get smell out? She washed them but they still smell.

re wash with white vinegar air dry.

Yup. White vinegar and line dry if you can.

 Sounds like white vinegar is the way to go.  I would have just febreezed the crap outta them.  Lol.

Line dry them after a wash with some vinegar!
