Oh man. Where did you order from?

From a seller on Etsy. I've ordered from her before and didn't notice anything...but this was horrid. I opened the plastic bubble wrap and it was as if a group of smokers just came in from a smoke break.

Luckily it's just a plastic box and metal dies, if it was anything else, or material to be sent to customers, I'd for sure be requesting a refund.

That sucks! Try putting out in the sun for a few hours, that "might" help.

I can't stand that either. We're smoke free here and when something comes into my house I can smell it right away. UGH!

I detest when that happens. I used to refuse to buy wool unless I could get confirmation that the facility and/or home was smoke free. If it came to me smelling of smoke I returned it because I had checked. Pissing off many people but they said it was smoke free so oh well. I advertise that my wool is smoke free and people love it. Many confirm it with me and I happily say that I am allergic to cigerattes so they are safe.
