What is a simple starter sewing machine? I have broken a few in the past but I really want to make my son some cloth diaper covers. I have tried hand stitching but it takes FOREVER so please give me your ideas of what sewing machine you found simple. Thank you.

I have a Brother Project Runway and while it doesn't stand up to my workload, it does okay with simple projects.. I'm not a huge fan, but other than a Bernina it's all I've ever sewn on.

I want to use it to make cloth diaper covers (with pul), fleece and felt. Do you think it would be able to handle that? I broke one when I was sewing felt before lol.

For something cheap, I would go with a Singer.  Just don't expect it to sew denim, canvas, or lots of layer.
