Passport to Summer Challenge Day 7: Celebrate Summer!
Summer is finally here! Celebrate the first day of summer by having your kids make a crafty sun project!
Here are some examples of things your kids can make:
Sun hand print craft- First have your kids paint a yellow circle in the middle of a piece of paper. Then have them make yellow hand prints around the circle to create sun rays. Once the yellow paint is dry, have them do a layer of orange hand prints sun rays. If you don't have paint, you can still do this craft by tracing their hands on yellow and orange construction paper.
Paper plate sun- Have your kids color a paper plate yellow with markers, crayons, or paint. Cut stripes of yellow and/or orange construction paper and glue them onto the paper plate to make rays of sunlight. Then let your kids draw a face on the sun!
Mold a sun- Whether you have some on hand or make a quick run to the store, a really fun and hands on sun craft for kids is to mold a sun out of modeling clay
What are some things you are planning to do this summer? Do you have any vacations planned?
