Summer season

Is under way. The kids are not even out of school yet. But practices have started and we have our fist summer games next weekend. I hope the weather stays as nice as it is now. What are your plans for the summer? Do your kids do sports in the summer?

All three of mine do summer sports. Ds6 is in football, and also has hockey starting in July, Dd12 dances all summer, it is when highland dance competitions are in full swing. Dd14 is in football all summer.

All stars I coming up and we will start soccer in august.

That's a lot of sports for the summer. My DD is going to lacrosse camp for 4 days. Don't know if that counts. She has been going for 4 years now. She loves it.

Is August the start of your school year? We take August off and go on vacation. But September is the start of soccer for us. We have never had a child in soccer before. I am looking forward to. I am even thinking of coaching. I love soccer. Good luck at your all star game. You are coaching right?

DS1, DD and I do karate and it's year round. There is no season.

Same with gymnastics. DS2 and DD train year round but aren't to the competition level quite yet. I think DD will be soon.

Ds1 is signing up for a summer league of baseball that is for the month of july. Then august 1st football starts

No summer sports played here. My oldest is going to a speed/core training on Wed. evenings. It's very casual and open to all athletes in our district, not just football players.

Football starts in August.
