I have signed up for my first official race

I signed up for a 5 mile race this coming Saturday. It's a local race that benefits our  children's shelter.

I'm nervous, excited, scared and on the verge of panic. Most I've run at this point is 4.19 miles.

Someone tell me I can do this!!

You sure can!!  Think of all those little kiddos you are helping!!  Hats off to you for trying something new!  I've been wanting to try that too.  Please let us know how it goes!  And of course, you'll have to post some pictures!

Back in mid June I started the C25K program. It's Couch to 5K.

You add a little more running each day for two months.  It took me a little longer because some weeks I just didn't feel I was ready to move on so I repeated a week. Now I still run two to three days a week and walk a couple of miles on the days I don't run.
