Do you take your dog to the dog groomer or do you do all the grooming yourself?

How often do you groom your dog?

How often do you bath, brush, and trim your dog's nails?

What kinds of shampoos and or conditioners do you use on your dog?

I take my girls to the groomer at least twice a year, for a de-shedding shampoo and conditioner. I just love this it helps them blow coat in the spring and in the fall. As soon as I see their coat starting to clump off we go. Believe it or not, my smooth coat Shiloh has more coat than my plush girls. She sheds all year round, where they shed most of their coat in the spring and fall and are done with it.

I also take them to the groomers if we have a lot of rain and they are just muddy to many times. They are a wash and wear kind of dog, which is wonderful. The get muddy come in and the mud falls off after it dries; however, I live in NC ,and the mud here is reddish colored and will change the color of their coat if I do not get it washed off.

Mali ends up looking brownish after a while instead of cream and so does Yuki and Hera. They also have a trip to the groomer just before we show them. Whenever they go to the groomer, they have their nails cut as well. Mali is the only one who has to have her nails cut more often as she is my glamour girl whose nails seem to grow faster than the other girls. She is also my service dog and needs to be more presentable than the average dog.

I forgot to ask about tooth brushing.

We do on occasion brush our dog's teeth, but because we raw feed that is not something we have to do often. Raw feeding cleans a dog's teeth quite nicely, but sometimes I cheat and give them ground raw more than I should and that leads to needing to brush their teeth.

I do any and all grooming for our pup. He's 50% German Shepherd and 50% pit bull and bc of the pitbull side my local groomers won't accept him.

He gets brushed with the soft brush (it's useless, but he really enjoys it) anout once a week. He gets his super brushing twice a year (He has the fur of the pitbull side so he only needs a "good" brushing when he sheds).

He gets bathed when he needs it. He weighs about 90 lbs and would prefer to stay out of the tub, so unless he needs it I try to keep him happy and me (and the entire bathroom) dry =)  I just use regular pet shampoo from petsmart.

We heard about that a couple of years ago, and asked our vet about it. We tried to incorporate into Drako's (my dog) diet, but he really wanted no part of it. He's so picky about his food, we've tried most of the "good" food and fresh food that you have to keep in the fridge, but all he wants his is cheap (I'm sure not ultra healthy) food. He would rather go hungry and get into the trash at night then eat the other stuff. Drives me absolutely NUTS

I take my Afghan to the groomers because there's SO much fur, and it's long. She hates it when I try to groom her. I'd have to do it every day to keep it from dreading.

My other dogs get baths with some organic dog shampoo I found. I let them air dry, then brush them out.

My quote button isn't working right. I do the same thing with the raw, and the only treats they get are raw beef bones. I have never had to have my dogs' teeth cleaned. The vets were amazed that at 14, Phantom's teeth were in such good shape. Got to be careful with the raw bones that they don't chew on them once they're dry or can chip a tooth.

I bathe the puppies once a week and brush them daily! They are so low to the ground their coats get dirty really easy!

We groom our Corgi ourselves. He's pretty easy though, because he likes it.
