Hi New people!

Take a second and introduce yourselves!

Tell us a little about yourself and your adoption journey so far..how have you been touched by adoption?  What are you hoping to gain from this site?

  • Hi,
My name is Erica.  I'm 30 yrs old and have a 2 year old son.  I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and am concerned about fertillity.  I want to look into the adoption process and get info from those who are experienced with this.

  • Welcome Kimberly,

I hope that your wait isn't too long!  We've been waiting off and on since April 2006 - I say off and on because we've had a few matches that failed and some 'possibilities' along the way..but we have faith that our baby will find us..

    Best wishes!
    Michelle

  • Hi, my name is Tara, I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys ages 1 & 3. I've been married for 4 years to my best friend, and we live in Massachusetts. After the birth of my second son I had ovarian cysts that needed to be removed, and my doctors also discovered some pretty bad endometriosis, they suggested that I have a tubal, so I did. I was Ok with that because my husband and I always knew we wanted to adopt a baby girl. So we're praying and waiting, and trying to buy a house so that we can really get things started :)

  • Welcome Tara,

Have you started your homestudy yet?  Any idea what your adoption route will be?  Domestic? Foster/adopt or International?

    Good luck!

    Michelle

  • Hello everyone! My name is Lisa. I am a birthmother (also a mother of 4 girls). The baby (a boy) was born in May and everything went absolutely perfect! Adoption was the most positive experience for me. I found the perfect adoptive parents and we are all one big happy family now! I wish that every adoption could go as well as ours did! Feel free to ask questions, I love to share our story! And good luck to everyone out there waiting to adopt!

  • Lisa,

Welcome..thanks for your post..it'll be nice to have a birthmom here and someone who can provide some information from a different point of view!  I'm glad that your adoption went so well and that you are still feeling good about your decision!

    Best wishes!
