Do any of you incorporate poetry into your studies? Any recommendations for a book on annalizing/dissecting poetry?

I schedule poetry reading for my kids 3 times a week. They have to stand up, no figeting, and read it out loud to me. Although I am happy they are being exposed to poetry, I would like for them to be able to annalize it or go deeper into the meaning of it.

We're doing a lot with rhyming books right now as an introduction (pre-ks here). My daughter almost never fails to notice when something rhymes and she enjoys making her own rhymes.

When my boys were a bit younger, they are about to be 11 & 14, we would play rhyming games to pass the time in the car. One of us would start with a word and then we would take turns finding a word to rhyme. We laughed a lot playing that.
