my daughter will be 8 and has her own lap top she plays on, she like all the normal kid websites and games and works the internet pretty well but doesnt really use word and those type of programs. I am thinking of adding in bigger projects this year she would have to research online and write up reports. nothing to big. maybe a page double spaced of a topic we are learning. is there any programs or websites u know of that help teach computer skills to children. maybe a typing or word class.

Otherwise, I like the idea of having her type a report every once in a while, she will learn a lot more about the program through practice.
