For supplies. I can do generic for a lot f things except crayons, watercolor pencils, markers etc. Glue i can go eithe way but can usually get wonder super cheap in the fall so I get that.

It depends on the supply...but crayons HAVE to be crayola...everything else is to waxy:(

I'm a 'can't pay attention to it' kind of mom: I bought good-quality art supplies in art stores (not craft or department stores). . . but never paid the slightest attention to the name brands involved.

I buy generic when it's good quality for what I'm needing and cheaper. I buy name brand, depending on what it is, when it's affordable, on sale.
