Does anyone know how to make them ? Specifically can I use flannel to make the actual board and then smaller felt Pieces for the little pictures and such ? Also how do you incorporate them into the day ? I have seen some print and iron letters, numbers and story pictures that I think may be cheaper to buy and make my own than going out and buying a whole bunch of them already made. Not that I would know where to look anyway LOL . thanks in advance !

So far I just have one I got from micheals for math. I tried making my own out of a large piece of felt and cut out smaller pieces to stick on, but it didn't work out for me. Hopefully someone on here will have better advice. :)

I was going to make one but decided to laminate the items and use magnets on our easel or back door.

We made one by hot gluing the felt to an old table top easel. it works great, but doesn't get much use!

Someone in the happy homeschoolers group mentioned using felt on a big board.  Then she printed out pictures of things on the computer and she cuts out the photos and glues sand paper on the back.  Evidently, the sand paper sticks to the felt.  :-)

I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds great.  I know my joannes has felt for less than 4 dollars a yard and it is 59 inches wide.  :-)
