Is this true Michigan mom's??

Someone told me you must have a bacholors degree or a teachers degree in the State of Michigan to homeschool your children. Is that true??

No that is not true.  SOME states DO require that but not MI.  MI is actually one of the most lenient regarding homeschooling and CA is one of the most stringent.  http://www.hslda.org/laws/

This exactly. Michigan is very lenient.

oh absolutely not! i received my GED 1 year after i started homeschooling.I've lived in Michigan all my life.in fact I've been homeschooling now for almost 3 years.also Michigan is one of the most pro-parent homeschooling states I've ever seen.they don't interfere and leave it up to the parents.your friend needs to re-check their information.

just a question?  What makes CA stringent?  The map from the link shows it as yellow as low regulation. Just wondering...
